You can absolutely throw your towels in the washing machine. I recommend low temperature settings, delicate cycle, and make sure you don't include items with buttons or zippers in the same load. Don't use bleach or fabric softeners, as these will wear out the fibers faster, and fabric softeners reduce absorbency!
